Pilot James "Mac" McCarthy's plane crashes on a mysterious island after receiving a strange transmission. He, his passengers, and their Black valet, Jefferson Jackson, soon discover that the island is inhabited by a family of Austrian refugees, led by Dr. Sangre, who seems to be hiding a dark secret. As the men try to survive and uncover the truth, they encounter zombies, hypnotism, and a sinister plot to extract military secrets from a captured admiral.
