A poor African boy, Kipkemboi, a math genius, is forced to tell his incredible story after being arrested on suspicion of terrorism. He was a scholarship student at MIT but had to stay in his village to support his family after his father's death. Inspired by a book, "Quants: How Mathematicians took over Wall Street", Kipkemboi develops an algorithm to play the stock market, earning millions and attracting international attention. When his success attracts unwanted attention, Kipkemboi and his girlfriend, Chipchirchir, must flee for their lives, leading to a thrilling chase across the African countryside.
