Ex-paratrooper Michel Maudet, a former amateur boxer, quits boxing after losing his last fight. He becomes the personal secretary and bodyguard of French businessman Dieudonné Ferchaux, who is wanted by French authorities for tax evasion. Ferchaux flees to America, taking Maudet with him, and plans to escape to South America after being threatened with extradition. However, Maudet has his own dishonest plans, despite being entrusted with a large sum of money.
