Bambi Steele, an aspiring filmmaker, prioritizes buying a 1968 V8 Dodge Phoenix over producing her first film. Unable to afford the car's maintenance, she enlists her brother Buck's help. Desperate to run the car, Bambi turns to dark magic, using voodoo to bring it to life. The ritual requires human souls and an ox heart, which she obtains by killing her cast members with her leading man Randy, who becomes infatuated with her. Buck eventually intervenes, killing Randy and saving the day. However, Bambi's actions ultimately lead to her downfall in a voodoo-fueled climax that brings her monstrous creation to life.
