Denise, an obit writer for the Tribune, seizes the opportunity to become a reporter after a colleague's death. She discovers a dead body on a late-night jog and, amidst the police activity, spots her rival and former lover, Simon, reporting on the scene. The next day, Denise learns the victim's name and realizes she saw their obituary the night before, but it's nowhere to be found.
