Perry Mason: The Case of the All-Star Assassin

A wealthy sports team owner in Denver makes a verbal promise to a hockey player, a friend of Ken's, to ensure his financial security in the event of an injury.

Thatcher Horton, a Denver sports arena owner and sports team owner, verbally promised to take care of injured hockey player Bobby Spencer, a friend of Ken's. When Horton reneged on his promise, Ken asked Perry to represent Bobby in a lawsuit. However, Bobby was soon accused of murdering Horton after the murder weapon was found in his possession. Despite Bobby's protestations of innocence, Perry agrees to defend him, uncovering a web of motives and suspects, including Horton's wife and son, who had reason to dislike him.
