Mai Takano searches for answers about her professor's death, only to uncover a haunted videotape linked to a girl named Sadako who died years ago. Watching the tape supposedly kills viewers a week later, and Mai must now protect herself and Ryûji's son Yôichi from becoming Sadako's next victims.
