After being released from prison, Pat Tate jumps back into his nightclub business in Essex, but his focus is soon consumed by seeking revenge against the man who put him away. He travels to Marbella, only to find his target is dead. Instead, he's offered a massive drug deal by middleman Terry Fisher, which requires his friends Tony and Craig to transport a large sum of cash from Essex. However, Craig's decision to take a road trip in a stolen VW van with a hippie German owner complicates matters. As Pat's plan unravels, he faces threats from a local firm and must come up with an even more daring scheme to get his friends back to England in time for Tony to support his friend Nigel Benn at a historic boxing match.
