The Institute for Advanced Concepts, led by Dr. Carl Becker, conducts secret research to control the world. Their latest project involves brainwashing a psychology professor, Dr. Simon Mendelssohn, into believing he's an alien. They choose him because of his unknown origins and fascination with sensory deprivation. To ensure compliance, they use Dr. Cynthia Mallory to manipulate him. The plan is to unleash Simon, now an "alien", into the world, but his casual girlfriend, Lisa, a music professor, may uncover the truth.
