Two friends, Bill and Andy, fresh out of a mental hospital, struggle to fit in with society. After failed therapy, Bill has an idea: they need romantic love. They try dating normal women, but it doesn't work, so they look for women who share their mental health issues. They meet Bonnie at a mental health facility and Andy starts dating her, while Bill feels left out. When Bonnie becomes pregnant, Bill concocts a plan to rob a bank and give the money to her, sparking a series of wild adventures that test their friendship and sanity.
