The film follows Ray, a young man with schizophrenia, who is discharged from a psychiatric hospital and moves into his brother Pete's spare room. As Ray navigates his relationships with his brother and a new love interest, Laura, he begins to resist taking his medication, preferring to rely on love to soothe his symptoms.
