Alexis, a 10-year-old girl, develops synesthetic abilities after witnessing her family's brutal murder. She uses music to cope with her trauma and eventually becomes a teacher and musician. Despite her roommate Marie's support, Alexis' dark past and her pursuit of a masterpiece through violent sound experiments threaten to destroy her relationships and hearing.
