Tarzan and the Green Goddess background

Tarzan and the Green Goddess

A modern retelling of the 1935 serial "The New Adventures of Tarzan" brings the classic action-packed story to the big screen with a fresh and streamlined approach.

Lord Greystoke, aka Tarzan, recounts his adventures in Guatemala, where he helped Major Martling and Ula Vale search for the Green Goddess, a powerful totem with a formula for a super-explosive hidden inside. They fought off Raglan, a thug sent to steal the Goddess, and his henchmen, as well as a group of primitive natives sent by the High Priest to retrieve it. After the Goddess was seized, Tarzan, Ula, and Martling were captured and faced various dangers, including a lion, a hideous jungle hag, and a torturous scene involving Martling's valet, George.
