Jane Dormant inherits her aunt's estate, Hobbes House, and attends the reading of the will, where she reunites with her estranged half-sister Jennifer and her lover Nigel. However, the gathering takes a dark turn when the solicitor, Eurydice Saul, is killed in a gruesome accident, and soon after, the group is attacked by reanimated corpses, including Saul's, and must fight for survival against a horde of bloodthirsty undead.
