In 1972, a young Toronto actor named Miles arrives at the home of two aging bachelor farmers, Angus and Morgan, in Huron County, Ontario. Miles is seeking inspiration for a play about rural life and stays with the farmers to gather stories. However, their lives become forever changed when the line between truth and fiction is blurred, and art imitates life in unexpected ways.
