Sochi Fried's formative years were spent in the culturally rich and diverse cities of New York City and Ottawa, where she developed a strong foundation for her future endeavors.
For over 15 years, Toronto has been her home base, serving as a hub for her prolific career in the performing arts.
Throughout her journey, Sochi has had the privilege of working at various esteemed theatres across North America, earning her recognition as one of NOW Magazine's Top 10 Theatre Artists of 2015.
Recent theatre credits of note include her work on The Great Shadow at 4th Line Theatre, Consumption Patterns at Next Stage Fest, The Life & Death of Fred Herko at Rendezvous With Madness, and Rosalynde (or As You Like it) at Driftwood Theatre.
In addition to her theatrical pursuits, Sochi has also made significant contributions to the small and big screens, with TV and film credits including "Transplant," "Star Trek: Discovery," "American Gods," "The Hot Zone," and the Atom Egoyan-directed film Guest of Honour.
Furthermore, Sochi has lent her voice to the audiobook adaptation of Elizabeth Hay's novel A Student of Weather, published by Penguin Random House Canada.
