The Captain pursues a group of Mexican bandits, mistakenly capturing Cisco and Pancho, and later releases them. Believing they will lead him to the rest of the gang, he has them followed. Cisco discovers that the editor and blacksmith are the gang's leaders, and he forges a plan to join the blacksmith, pretending his partner has betrayed him, with the intention of capturing the entire gang.
