Tyler's obsession with the infamous horror movie "The Hills Run Red" leads him to search for the missing film. His girlfriend Serina feels neglected due to his research, but Tyler's determination drives him to meet Concannon's daughter Alexa, who works in a nightclub. Alexa reveals that the movie might be hidden in her father's abandoned house in the woods, and Tyler convinces her to join him on a journey to find it. Along the way, they interview locals and are eventually attacked by rednecks, but Babyface, the deranged serial killer from the movie, appears and saves them. As the night unfolds, Tyler, Serina, and Lalo must navigate the treacherous woods and uncover the dark secrets surrounding the movie.
