Janet Montgomery, a native of Bournemouth in the United Kingdom, relocated to London upon receiving a scholarship at a prestigious dance school. Her early foray into acting was marked by a guest star role on the critically-acclaimed UK television drama series, Skins, where she played the love interest of Nicholas Hoult in 2007.
Following her move to Los Angeles, Montgomery quickly secured a role in the Dark Castle film, The Hills Run Red, in 2009. In addition to her work on FX's The League, she recurred on the HBO series, Entourage, where she portrayed E's assistant and Drama's girlfriend. Montgomery also landed a series regular role on the Fox series, Human Target, alongside Mark Valley and Jackie Earle Haley in 2010.
Moreover, Montgomery was the lead actress in CBS's Made in Jersey in 2012. She has also appeared in notable films, including Darren Aronofsky's Oscar-nominated psychological thriller, Black Swan, opposite Natalie Portman in 2010. Additionally, she starred in Jesse Peretz's Our Idiot Brother, alongside Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Banks in 2011.
Recent projects of Montgomery include Dancing on the Edge, where she shared the screen with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Matthew Goode in 2013. She also appeared in Spies of Warsaw, opposite David Tennant in the same year. Montgomery has recently completed filming the lead role in the independent film, If You See Her, and is set to star as the female lead in Salem, the first original series for WGN, which is currently in production.
