André, a man from humble means, becomes smitten with his neighbor Silvia after spying on her through a telescope. As his infatuation grows, he starts tailing her around the city and discovers she works at a clothing store. He finds a way to get a dress for her by photocopying a $50 bill at his Xerox job, but soon becomes addicted to making more money through this method, leading to catastrophic consequences when he tries to diversify his illegal income streams.
