Jesus of Nazareth, a skilled carpenter, abandons his trade to preach the word of God as an itinerant preacher and faith healer. He draws a diverse following, with Judas Iscariot seeking a violent revolution, Mary Magdalene hoping for relief from hallucinations, Simon Peter finding hope in Jesus' message, and Matthew seeking redemption from his sins. However, Jesus' message also earns him the enmity of Herod Antipas, Caiaphas, and Pontius Pilate, ultimately leading to a fateful visit to Jerusalem.
