In this story, set in both modern-day and 1950s Warsaw, a shy and quiet woman named Sabina struggles to find love as she approaches her 30th birthday. Her mother and eccentric grandmother try to find her a suitable husband, but Sabina is unimpressed by the suitors who visit their tenement. That is until Bronislaw appears, charming and intelligent, and sparks a chain of unexpected events that reveal the women's true nature.
