In 1920s Indochina, two tiger cubs are born to a loving family unit. Separated by capture, they live vastly different lives, connected to humans Aidan McRory and Raoul Normandin. Aidan, a treasure and big game hunter, develops an emotional bond with one cub, Kumal, while Raoul forms a connection with the other, Sangha. As the cubs mature into adult tigers, their experiences in captivity shape their new environments. Aidan and Raoul strive to ensure the tigers' well-being, with differing perspectives on what that means.
