Franklin D. Roosevelt, struggling with the onset of polio in the 1920s, sets out to find a cure and regain the use of his legs. He discovers a dilapidated spa in Warm Springs, Georgia, and decides to invest in its restoration, aided by his wife and physical therapist, in a bid to overcome his disability.
