The film tells the story of Franklin D. Roosevelt's courageous struggle against polio in 1921.
Franklin D. Roosevelt, struggling with the onset of polio in the 1920s, sets out to find a cure and regain the use of his legs. He discovers a dilapidated spa in Warm Springs, Georgia, and decides to invest in its restoration, aided by his wife and physical therapist, in a bid to overcome his disability.
