Willard Stiles, a socially awkward individual, is belittled by his coworkers and threatened with job loss by his ruthless boss, who was also his father's former partner. Willard finds solace in his two pet rats, Ben and Socrates, and their growing colony. But when Socrates is brutally killed by the boss, Willard's emotional distress culminates in a violent rampage against those who have tormented him, using Ben and the other rats as his instruments of revenge.
