The Rising of the Shield Hero

A gamer is suddenly transported to a parallel universe where they join forces with three other heroes to prevent a devastating apocalypse foretold by prophecy.

In ancient times, four heroes armed with sword, spear, bow, and shield protected their land from disaster. In modern-day Japan, they are summoned to defend the kingdom of Melromarc, where they are reincarnated as heroes, with one of them, Naofumi Iwatani, an otaku with limited abilities, being shunned by society after being betrayed by Princess Melromarc.
