Children of the Revolution background

Children of the Revolution

Inspired by the global student protests of 1968, two women from Germany and Japan sparked revolutionary movements in their respective countries, leaving behind a lasting legacy and raising questions about their motivations.

Two women, Ulrike Meinhof and Fusako Shigenobu, emerged from the 1968 student revolutions to lead the Baader Meinhof Group and Japanese Red Army. Appalled by Vietnam's killing, they sought to destroy capitalist power through world revolution.
