Churchill's Island background

Churchill's Island

During World War II, Britain and North America join forces to resist the German onslaught, highlighting the courage and determination of those who fought for freedom.

The film tells the story of Great Britain's defense against Germany in the early days of World War II, using newsreel footage, official British government film, and captured German government film. It begins with the Battle of Britain, where Germany lost 2300 aircraft and the Royal Air Force lost 900. Germany then shifted its focus to sinking ships in the Atlantic bound for England, while England prepared to repel a potential sea invasion. With the help of allies, England vowed not to be defeated, defiantly challenging Germany to attack.
