The day starts with Mr. Wilson's birthday being ruined by an uninvited visit from Dennis Mitchell and his insect friends. Later, his new roommate Mr. Johnson, Dennis' grandfather, moves in and consistently outdoes Mr. Wilson in various activities. Feeling old and envious, Mr. Wilson turns to a dubious method to reverse his aging, but with the help of his grandson Dennis, he ultimately exposes the scam. In the end, Mr. Johnson's careless behavior causes him to get stuck in a motor home at the Grand Canyon, leading Mr. Wilson to declare, "He's a menace!"
