Chick Farber, a renowned Federal Airlines pilot, is forced to retire due to declining eyesight. With the help of Mary Norvell and Nan Hudson, he takes a job teaching at a school for airline hostesses, eventually marrying Mary. However, Chick's passion for flight is reignited when he learns about a stratosphere plane he and Artie Dixon designed, and he longs to make the first flight, but is denied permission.
