American detective Steve Marshall is summoned to Sao Paulo, Brazil to track down fugitive murderess Louise Dunning. Upon investigating, he discovers that Louise killed her husband in self-defense. Meanwhile, Marshall becomes entangled in a counterfeiting ring, which initially sent him the letter, and unknowingly aids in the capture of the criminals.
