Framed for a drug charge, former cop Bud McCall finds himself in prison, with his former partner and crime lord Vincent Ciccetti behind the framing. To clear his name, Bud must testify against Vincent, but the crime lord will stop at nothing to silence him, hiring hitman Tony Marino to do the job. As Tony is faced with a moral dilemma, Bud forms a bond with his cellmate Eddie, and together they hatch a plan to escape, with Tony's help.
