Nita, a surgeon, lives with her parents in Bombay, India. She's in love with a struggling musician, Ravi, but her mother wants her to marry someone wealthy. A wounded man is admitted to the hospital, recovers, and is discharged. He introduces himself as wealthy Vikram Chauhan and asks Nita's parents for her hand in marriage. Nita wants to marry Ravi, but he fails to show up, and she decides to marry Vikram. Unbeknownst to Nita, Vikram is a human by day and a man-eating tiger at midnight.
