As a peculiar outbreak ravages his skin, a young factory worker in Prague becomes increasingly desperate for a cure, his medical options dwindling as the enigmatic rash continues to spread.

A young man, Franz, working in a Prague dye factory, develops a mysterious skin rash that spreads despite treatments. Laid off due to his condition, his relationship with his fiancée suffers. In search of compensation, Franz visits the insurance firm Assicurazion Generali, where he meets the enigmatic clerk, Kafka.
