A group of aliens arrive on Earth to abduct humans and conduct experiments to assess their suitability as slaves. One alien, Harper, grows tired of her planet's destructive conquests and starts to empathize with her human captives. As the prisoners see a glimmer of hope in Harper's compassion, they wonder if it can help them prevent the impending invasion fleet from reaching Earth.
