Michael Manning Weatherly, Jr. was born on July 8, 1968, in the iconic city of New York, to Patricia Ruth (Hetherington) and Michael Manning Weatherly, Sr. Growing up in Fairfield, Connecticut, he made the bold decision to leave college in pursuit of a career in acting, a passion that would become a defining aspect of his life.

Weatherly's professional acting career began with a guest spot on the popular television show "The Cosby Show" (1984),where he played the role of Theo Huxtable's roommate.
