In World War II, a unique fighting unit is created, bringing together a skilled Canadian Army team and a group of American Army misfits who had previously been imprisoned. Initially, the two groups clash, but they eventually develop a strong bond and respect for one another. The unit is then deployed to Italy to undertake a perilous mission deemed impossible to accomplish.
