The legendary assassin Akira Sato, known as The Fable, has retired from his deadly profession to live a peaceful life with his partner Yoko, posing as ordinary siblings. By day, Akira works part-time at design company Octopus, alongside CEO Takoda and employee Misaki, unaware of his dark past. Meanwhile, Utsubo, a representative for an NPO, secretly colludes with contract killer Suzuki to set up targets for extortion, with their sights set on Octopus design company.
