Dr. John Wilson, an expert in para-psychological cases, introduces his skeptical colleague, Dr. Richard Austin, to a mysterious one-legged woman named Helena Voyich who claims to possess mesmerism. Despite initial doubts, Richard agrees to be a test subject, but soon finds himself under Helena's hypnotic control, experiencing strange and unsettling occurrences.
