Three Noel Coward tales come together in this omnibus film. The first, "The Red Peppers", follows a bickering vaudeville couple who form an unlikely alliance against their colleagues, leading to some awkward slapstick moments. The second, "Fumed Oak", shows a middle-class family in chaos as a husband confronts his in-laws and eventually leaves. The third, "Ways and Means", features a couple of parasites trying to swindle a wealthy American widow out of her winnings on the French Riviera.
