A young boy from the French countryside embarks on a thrilling journey to Paris, driven by his all-encompassing infatuation with a sophisticated and captivating girl from the city's upper class.

In this coming-of-age film, a young boy named Maurice lives on a farm in rural France, working under the demanding and exploitative boss. He supports his poor witch mother and has never met his father. When a wealthy Parisian girl and her racist boyfriend become lost in the countryside, Maurice falls in love with the girl and decides to follow her to the city. His innocent and magical nature brings him unexpected luck, new friends, and exciting experiences, including sex, drugs, and career opportunities. However, his carefree adventure is disrupted by the sudden arrival of his boss and his son Philippe, who is struggling with his own financial issues and a secret marijuana operation.
