On the run from authorities, a skilled alien bartender named Phungus teams up with a fugitive, Mowld, who is accused of assassinating the Emperor. After their hideout is destroyed, they flee together and acquire a dilapidated spaceship equipped with a revolutionary Framistan drive, enabling them to travel instantly to any location.
