The Gumby Show background

The Gumby Show

Gumball and his trusty sidekick, Pokey the claymation horse, go on thrilling escapades, combining hilarious humor, vibrant imagination, and innovative storytelling.

Gumbas originated in 1953 as a music video called "Gumbasia." They later joined The Howdy Doody Show in 1956 and gained immense popularity, leading to their own show, "The Gumby Show," in 1957. The show featured a blend of classic and new cartoons. New characters were added over time, including Goo the mermaid, Prickle the dinosaur, Nopey the dog, and the Blockheads, who relentlessly pursued Gumby and his friends. Gumby's parents were Gumbo and Gumba.
