The Battle of the Year Trophy has eluded the US for 15 years, but producer Dante Graham is determined to bring it back. He enlists the help of his friend and former basketball coach, Jason Blake, who is still grieving the loss of his wife and son. Blake is tasked with assembling a new team, dubbed the Dream Team, and recruiting a young dancer named Franklyn and breakdancing choreographer Stacy to help him. As the team trains, Blake focuses on building teamwork and discipline, leading up to a dramatic showdown at the competition in France.
