In the next movie, the Range Busters take on a payroll heist, where Bolton's gang blows up the wagon carrying the mine's money. Marshal Crash Corrigan is mistakenly thought to be killed in the explosion, and his badge falls into the wrong hands. Unbeknownst to Bolton, Crash is actually alive, and the Range Busters soon discover that Bolton is just a middleman, taking orders from a mysterious mastermind.
