A ruthless oil tycoon, Denby, seeks to claim the Wilson ranch for its valuable oil reserves. He kills Wilson and then sets his sights on Bret Travis, a new partner of Judy Wilson, after learning of their shared ownership. However, Travis's men, including Alibi, intervene and rescue him, only to discover Denby's plan to impersonate Travis. As the Range Busters try to take down Denby, they must do so while keeping their true identities hidden.
