Two weeks of sweltering New York City summer heat lead Knuckles to take the boys to Algy's father's mountain camp to avoid mischief. However, their trip is derailed when they encounter Judge Parker's party on the road, who is hiding from the mob. After their cars break down, they're forced to seek shelter at the judge's eerie mountain manor, where they're met with ghostly apparitions, creepy music, and a sinister housekeeper. Judge Parker, who once almost sent Knuckles to death row for murder, turns up dead, and Knuckles must rely on his little brother Danny and the gang to clear his name.
