Two thousand years ago, a sorcerer named Nhagruul sold his soul to the demon Lords of the abyss, ensuring his spirit would survive after death. His skin was flayed into pages, bones used as a cover, and diseased blood became the ink for a book of dark knowledge. The book drove those who read it to madness or corruption, spreading evil and destruction throughout the land. An order of warriors, the Knights of the New Sun, arose to fight against the darkness, and with the power of Pelor, they defeated the forces of evil. However, the book's pages and cover were never found, and the Knights' power eventually faded as they became complacent in their victory.
