Kerry Devine, owner of Retrofit Exchange, a clothing boutique in small town Twelve Oaks, CO, is struggling financially and emotionally. She's behind on rent and can't pay due to lack of business. Kerry once dreamed of being a fashion designer, but a setback in college led her to doubt her abilities. Her life changes when a movie shoot comes to town, starring Brad Baxter, known as the King of Christmas. Kerry and Brad connect while working on the movie, and she's hired as the costume designer despite her lack of experience. As they fall for each other, they encourage each other to take chances, but their professional and personal lives may not mesh.
