Nikki and Leo, former best friends and competitors, reconnect after five years apart. Nikki, a young adult, left Toronto to escape her past, including Leo, who she believes has become a ladies' man. The two are now forced to confront their feelings when Nikki is offered a chance to work at a Michelin-starred chef's new London restaurant, with Gareth as her competition. However, Nikki must first deal with a visa issue, which requires her to return to Toronto for a few weeks, where she inevitably runs into Leo. The reunion rekindles their sexual tension, but they must overcome their past and present issues to be together.
